In the late summer of 2024 I took a beginning wheel throwing class at the Chico Ceramic Center. Immediately I was hooked. I wanted to create endless bowls, cups, mugs, and sculptures. I had a huge list of ideas for various painted pieces and projects. Glazes and underglazes were my newest fascination. However my ideas were far out weighing my skills at the wheel.

Enter Jaya, my amazing instructor and at this point ceramics mentor. Jaya has been creating stunning ceramic pieces for 25 years, and was excited when I brought up the idea of collaborating. He would throw and create pieces, and I would paint, glaze and handle selling them.

The ceramics listed for sale here are clearly labeled whether they are a collaborative piece, or 100% made by me. Typically the traditionally functional pieces such as bowls, plates, and cups will be made in collaboration with Jaya. Sculptural pieces will be 100% made by yours truly.
